Trader Joe’s 2011 Vintage Ale

Price: $4.99

I picked this up on a recent trip to Virginia. I was instantly interested when I saw that this beer was brewed by Unibroue. I love Unibroue’s beers, especially La Fin du Monde. The $4.99 price tag didn’t hurt either.

The beer is the color of cola with hints of coffee and chocolate on the nose. The head is light tan. The palate has notes of coffee and chocolate with a hint of spice. This is a perfect beer to sip on a cold night.

The bottle says that this beer is good for cellaring. I would just make sure I have some on hand for a snow day.
