Pat wings dry and place in a large mixing bowl. Coat the wings with avocado oil. In a small bowl, mix 1 tsp garlic powder, kosher salt, pepper, onion powder, and smoked paprika*. Season the oil-coated wings with the spice mix.
Preheat your air fryer*. Place chicken wings in the air fryer, then program the air fryer to cook 35 minutes at 380°. Shake the wings every 10 minutes.* It helps to set a separate timer.
While the wings are cooking, combine the butter, apple cider vinegar, cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes, ½ tsp garlic powder, minced garlic, and hot sauce in a small saucepan. Heat over low heat to slowly melt the butter. Stir frequently to keep the butter from separating. Once the butter melts, add the parmesan cheese. Remove pan from the heat.
Once the wings have finished cooking, place them in a clean mixing bowl. Pour the finished sauce over the wings and stir to coat.
Serve wings with celery sticks and ranch or bleu cheese dressing.
