Valréas “Cuvee Prestige” Côtes du Rhône Villages is the next to the last wine from my Trader Joe’s haul. ::sad face:: Côtes du Rhône is an appellation that refers to the Rhône Valley in Eastern France. Côtes du Rhône wines can be red, white, or rosé and can be made from a blend of up to 23 grapes.

Valréas “Cuvee Prestige”  is made from two of the primary Côtes du Rhône red grapes—Granache and Syrah. This wine is garnet in the glass. The nose yields cherries and raspberries. This medium bodied wine has cherries on the palate. This wine will not blow you away with its fruit. It will not take center stage. This wine is okay, but not terribly memorable.
